Saturday Chase turned 8 and will be baptized on Aug. 9 2008 (hey, too bad it couldn't have been the 8th, huh?). We'll have a full house once family gets in! We're really looking forward to it.
We went bowling for our birthday and I won. I really like bowling and I really like winning so I guess I had a pretty good time; I wish we could have done more than one game. I think I will have to keep that in my memory bank as something I would like to do for a hobby and hopefully something Eric would like to do with me, too. He likes golfing (he's only been about twice that I know of) and I told him I'd be his caddy. Who knows maybe I'll think I could actually do well and I'd take up golfing, too. Anything so that we can do something TOGETHER that we both enjoy.
Currently I'm stressing about homeschool (or to not). I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't know if I can stay sane (if I still am) for another year of this stress. I AM wound too tight, I know, but my insides cringe at the thought of another year of homeschooling. And yet, I worry about sending them to school. I do not want to try to run faster than I am able to run and homeschooling seems to take me over that edge. However, I am wondering if I homeschool Tayler and Haley and sent Chase, would I be okay with that. Oh the dilemma!!! How I hate it! Less than two weeks to decide what to do and I am getting much closer to my grave!!! How I wish I had some peace and chocolate!!!

LOL... you're funny! I think you need to spend some serious time on your knees. The only way to know what's best for you and your kids is to ask the man who knows all. Read your scriptures a little more to make yourself more receptive and to bring you some much needed peace. Chocolate is nice, but the spirit is better. Good luck on that one!
I'm glad you had some fun for your birthday. It IS too bad Chase isn't getting baptized on the 8th... that would have been so awesome! 8-8-08 baptized for turning 8. Oh well! Some lucky kid out there is actually turning 8 on that day.
Minetta,
Sorry I can't give you much advice on the home schooling issue- I am not the kind of person who could be disciplined enough to give my kids a good education on my own. I think Kristin gave some pretty good advice though.
My son turned 8 on 5/8/08 (which is kind of cool to turn 8 on the eighth of 08). It's kind of weird how our kids are almost the same ages.
Good luck with the decision (and treat yourself to a piece of chocolate- that always makes me feel better).

If you're stressing that much about homeschool I say you definitely have some praying ahead of you. I love homeschooling, but I also only have two munchkins and I will have virtual academy in Ohio. My friend in California homeschooled her older daughter whilst her son who was Neina's age attended school with Neina. After a year she decided to pull her son out of public school too and it seemed like a pretty smooth transition. :) Pray Minetta. :) I'll pray for you too!
PS I so wish we could be there for Chase's baptism. We will be packing here and heading north on the 12th.
Happy birthday to you both! See you soon!
